Abstract

An image holding member for an image forming apparatus includes a support and a photosensitive layer disposed on the support and containing a compound represented by following formula (I), wherein Rs each independently represent a substituted or unsubstituted linear or branched alkyl group having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms; Ar's each independently represent a substituted or unsubstituted phenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbon group having two aromatic rings, a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent condensed aromatic hydrocarbon group having two or three aromatic rings, or a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent aromatic heterocyclic group; and n's each independently represent a number of from 0 to 7.
