Abstract

An integrated fluid cartridge () for securing onboard memory () includes an electrically actuated dispensing mechanism () with a number of droplet generators which are fluidically connected to a fluid reservoir (); a memory module (); and an electrical interface () containing shared select lines () and data lines () configured to control both the dispensing mechanism () and the memory module (). A method for secure communications between a precision-dispensing device and integrated fluid cartridge () includes connecting the precision-dispensing device and the cartridge () via an electrical interface () containing select lines () and data lines (); the cartridge () having several electronic components which are controlled via the select () and data lines ().
