Abstract
A restraint system for occupants of a vehicle includes a belt () and a belt-tensioning means as well as an airbag () arranged on the belt (), wherein at least a certain part of the belt () is at least temporarily tensioned when the belt-tensioning means is activated, wherein the airbag () serves as the belt-tensioning means.
