Abstract
A front pillar () for an automobile includes a hollow member (), an outer panel (), and an inner panel (). The hollow member has a curved shape, the entirety of which projects to the outside of a vehicle body. The outer panel is provided to the wall section of the hollow member which is on the vehicle exterior side. The inner panel is formed so as to lie along the wall section of the hollow member on the vehicle interior () side, and is provided to the wall section () on the vehicle exterior side.
