Sulfonate- or sulfate-capped, alkoxylated anti-misting agents having the structures: R((AO)X)((AO)H)and RC(O)NH(CH)N(CH)CHCHRCHSO, and to methods of suppressing mist from electrolyte solutions by adding a mist-suppressing amount of one or more of said compounds to electrolyte solutions.
