An air intake devicecomprises: a surge tankhaving an upper tank chamber, a lower tank chamber, and a communication portion; a first intake pipehaving communication with the upper tank chamber; a second intake pipehaving communication with the lower tank chamber; and a valvedisposed in the lower tank chamber, the valvebeing displaced between a closed position, in which an internal space of the lower tank chamberis divided into a main spacehaving communication with the second intake pipeand a sub-spacefacing the communication portion, and an open position, in which the main spaceand the sub-spaceare integrated with each other.
