Abstract
A method () is disclosed of producing an instruction set for rendering on a graphic display (). The instruction set includes a plurality of time containers () to be rendered, with each time container () containing at least one timed element to be displayed on the display (). However, the instruction set must obey a rule forbidding a time container () from referencing the content of a different time container (). The method () starts by adding () an attribute () to a particular time container (), the attribute () being associated with an event, the event being associated with a target element contained within the particular time container (). Correspondence between the event and an effect on the display of a further time container () is then provided (), in a manner consistent with the rule.
