Abstract
A liquid crystal display device according to the present invention () includes: a liquid crystal panel () having a front transparent substrate (), a rear transparent substrate (), and a liquid crystal layer () provided between the front transparent substrate () and the rear transparent substrate (); a sidelight unit () mounted to the liquid crystal panel (), the sidelight unit () including a light source () provided on a lateral side of the liquid crystal panel () and a light guide plate () provided between the liquid crystal panel and the light source; and a frame () to which the light source () and the light guide plate () are mounted.
