Abstract
The invention relates to a method for the enzymatic production of C-Cfatty alcohol and/or C-Cfatty acid, by carbon chain elongation, comprising the steps of: i) providing organic C-Ccompounds; ii) subjecting the organic C-Ccompounds to enzymatic carbon chain elongation in the presence of an electron donor; and iii) separating the formed C-Cfatty alcohol and/or C-Cfatty acid.
