Abstract
A multi-stage transmission () comprising a housing (), a drive shaft (AN), an output shaft (AB), four planetary gear sets (RS, RS, RS, RS) which each have first, second and third elements, at least eight rotatable shafts (), six shift elements which comprise three clutches (K, K, K) and three brakes (B, B, B). Selective engagement of the clutches and brakes results in different transmission ratios between the drive shaft (AN) and output shaft (AB) so that up to nine forward gears can be implemented. In the multi-stage transmission, the connections of the individual elements to each other are such that exactly three of the six shift elements transmit torque during each gear step.
