Abstract
A power plant which is capable of reducing the size and costs thereof and attaining high driving efficiency. In the power plant, the ratio between the number of first armature magnetic poles that form a first rotating magnetic field generated by a first statorof a first rotating machine, the number of first magnetic polesof a first rotor, and the number of first soft magnetic material elementsof a second rotordisposed between the twoandis set to 1:m:(1+m)/2 (m≠1.0), and the ratio between the number of second armature magnetic poles that form a second rotating magnetic field generated by a second statorof a second rotating machine, the number of second magnetic polesof a third rotor, and the number of second soft magnetic material elementsof a fourth rotordisposed between the twoandis set to 1:n:(1+n)/2 (n≠1.0). The two statorsandare connected to each other. The first and fourth rotorsandare connected to driven parts DW and DW, and the second and third rotorsandare connected to an output portionof a heat engine
