Abstract
An electrical card connector () for receiving a card () with conductive traces () formed on a top side thereof includes a first insulative housing () having a base portion () and a tongue portion () extending forwardly from the base portion; a contact module () having an insulator () and a plurality of contacts () combined with an insulator; and a card receiving space () formed between the insulator and the tongue portion, with contacting portions () of the contacts extending into the card receiving space from an upper direction for mating with the conductive traces.
