Abstract

A broadcast program recording/reproducing device is provided that is capable of continuously reproducing a program recorded so as to be distributed between a plurality of devices. A reception level detection unit () detects the reception level of the received broadcast electric wave. When the reception level is equal to or lower than a predetermined reception level, a recording request transmission unit () generates a recording start request packet, and transmits it to a server (). A management information write unit () writes management information into a terminal storage unit (). A continuous reproduction control unit () determines whether the program is recorded so as to be distributed between storing means and an external device based on the management information. When the program is recorded so as to be distributed, the continuous reproduction control unit () obtains an appropriate part of the program from the terminal storage unit () and a server () based on the management information and continuously reproduces it, and when the program is not recorded so as to be distributed, the continuous reproduction control unit () obtains the program from the terminal storage unit () and reproduces it.
