Abstract
A locking mechanism for a connector () facilitates the interconnect between the connector and an electronic device (). The connector () is formed of a plug (), a locking sleeve () and an o-ring (). The locking sleeve has a locking pattern () that, upon rotation of the locking sleeve, engages and disengages lock between the plug and a socket within the electronic device. Friction from the o-ring () on the locking sleeve () prevents disengagement of the connector from the electronic device while providing a seal.
