Abstract
The invention relates to a lamp operating device () for operating one or multiple light sources (--), with a first interface unit () for connecting the lamp operating device () to a control line () and for receiving external control commands corresponding to a first communications protocol, and with a control unit () which operates the light source(s) (--) in accordance with the control commands received via the first interface unit (). A second interface unit () is provided for receiving programming information according to a second communications protocol, wherein the conversion of the control commands received via the first interface unit () for operating the light source(s) (--) is performed by the control unit (), at least partially taking into account the programming information.
