Abstract
The invention relates to the use of a novel type of active mass in looping redox processes. Said mass contains a spinel of formula CuFeAlOwith 0≦x≦0.1. The active mass according to the invention has a high oxygen transfer capacity and improved oxidation and reduction rates.
