Abstract
An illumination deviceaccording to the present invention includes a light sourcea chassisthat houses the light sourceand a power supply boardfor supplying drive power to the light source. The power supply boardis mounted on a surface of the chassison an opposite side from the light source. The chassishas a raised portionthat is a part of the surface of the chassison the opposite side from the light sourceand raised toward the side on which the power supply boardis mounted. The power supply boardis arranged so as to overlap the raised portion
