Abstract

A method of assembling of assembling a print unit into a printing machine, wherein the print unit includes a frame, a print carriage to be inserted into and attached to the frame, and a doctor blade system independent of the print carriage to be attached to the frame, the method comprising the steps of placing the doctor blade system on an empty transport device, inserting the transport device with the doctor blade system into the frae, attaching the doctor blade system to the frame, removing the empty transport device from the frame, inserting the print carriage into the frame, and attaching the print carriage to the frame.
