Abstract
In an elevator wire ropestructured by twisting a plurality of schenkels, each schenkelbeing formed by twisting a plurality of strands, each strandbeing formed by twisting a plurality of fine steel wiresto, the interior of the wire rope being filled with a resin, and the surface of the wire rope being covered with a resin, wherein the direction in which the fine steel wirestoand the strandsare twisted and the direction in which the schenkelsare twisted are mutually opposite, and the diameter dof the inscribed circle of the plurality of twisted schenkelsis smaller than the diameter dof the schenkel
