Abstract
The invention relates to a method for protecting the untrimmed edge of paperboard or paper (), in which method the untrimmed edge () of two adjacent paperboards or papers are protected and attached abuttingly together by sealing a separate profile () on both sides of the abutment of the edges () by means of ultrasound.
