Abstract
A transmission device () for a vehicle having a variator () that has an axially longer length that the variator () is wider and deeper. The variator () comprises a planetary gear set (), a manual gearbox unit () and a hydraulic system having an oil sump. Following installation in the vehicle, a longitudinal extension of the variator () is oriented at least approximately horizontally.
