Abstract
An image blur correction device includes: a tabular base () having an opening portion () opened in an optical axis direction; a tabular movable holding member () configured to hold a lens and supported to be movable within a plane vertical to an optical axis of the lens; a first drive mechanism () including a first magnet and a first coil so as to drive the movable holding member in a first direction vertical to the optical axis; a second drive mechanism () including a second magnet and a second coil so as to drive the movable holding member in a second direction vertical to the optical axis; and a detecting device () for detecting a position of the movable holding member. The first drive mechanism and the second drive mechanism are arranged at positions that are line-symmetric with respect to a first straight line (S) perpendicular to the optical axis of the lens.
