Abstract
The invention relates to a process for preparing a compound of formula CFCF═CHX, CHXCX═CXor a linear or branched C(hydro)fluoroalkene, wherein each X is, independently, H or F provided that in CHXCX═CXat least one X is F, which process comprises dehydrohalogenating a compound of formula CFCFYCHX, CFCFHCYHX, CHXCXYCXH, CHXCXHCXY, or a linear or branched Chydro(halo)fluoroalkane, wherein each X is, independently, H or F provided that in CHXCXYCXH and CHXCXHCXY at least one X is F, wherein Y is F, Cl, Br, or I, in the presence of a base.
