Abstract
Between an upper substrateand a lower substrateparallel to the XY plane, a first columnar member Pand a second columnar member Pare disposed. The upper end of each columnar member Por Pis connected to the upper substratevia an upper film portionor, and the lower end is connected to the lower substratevia a conductive lower film portionor. The columnar members Pand Pare inclined mutually opposite with respect to vertical reference axes Rand R. When a rightward force +Fx is applied to the upper substrateand the upper substrateslides rightward, the columnar member Pincline in a laying-down direction and the lower film portionis deformed upward, and the columnar member Pinclines in a rising direction and the lower film portionis deformed downward. Based on a difference in capacitance value between a capacitance element consisting of the lower film portionand an electrode Eand a capacitance element consisting of the lower film portionand an electrode E, the force Fx in the X-axis direction is detected. By summing the capacitance values, a force Fz in the Z-axis direction can also be detected.
