Abstract

Inflatable intravascular filters for filtering blood clots contained within a blood vessel are disclosed. An inflatable intravascular filter in accordance with an illustrative embodiment of the present invention can include an apical head and one or more inflatable filter legs operatively coupled to the apical head. Each of the inflatable filter legs can include a first end section, a second end section, and an interior cavity adapted to receive an inflation medium for inflating and/or deflating the intravascular filter.
