Abstract

A system and method for recovering and separating water vapor and electrolyte vapor from an exhaust stream () of a fuel cell uses a membrane tube () comprising membrane () having an outer wall () and an inner wall (), wherein exhaust stream () is directed to contact outer wall (), electrolyte vapor is condensed on outer wall (), and water vapor is condensed inside the membrane (), the condensed water drawn from the membrane () to inner wall (), leaving behind condensed electrolyte () on outer wall ().
