Abstract
An air pollution control systemA according to the present invention includes: a boilerthat burns fuel; NOremoval equipmentthat decomposes nitrogen oxides in flue gasdischarged from the boiler; a desulfurizerthat causes sulfur oxides in the flue gashaving passed through the NOremoval equipmentto be absorbed by an absorbent, thereby reducing sulfur oxides in the flue gas, a waste-water treatment deviceincluding a solid-liquid separating unitthat separates desulfurized waste waterdischarged from the desulfurizerinto a solid fraction and a liquid fraction, and a mercury removing unitthat removes mercury in the desulfurized waste water; and a treated waste-water returning unit (a makeup water line)that returns at least a part of treated waste watertreated by the waste-water treatment deviceto the desulfurizer
