Abstract
An ink delivery device () for the ink supply of an inking system () of a printing machine () with ink, includes an ink reservoir (), a drive that is connected to the ink reservoir () and configured such that the ink reservoir () can be pressurized by the drive, and a control device for controlling the drive of the ink delivery device (), in which the drive and the control device are configured and connected with each other such that the ink delivery device () can be operated based on a method, in which the method includes the following steps: initiating an ink delivery process, increasing the pressure in the ink reservoir to a target operating pressure, adjusting the pressure in the ink reservoir to an adjusted operating pressure, and terminating the ink delivery process.
