Abstract
A rotationally locked drive assembly for a VSI crusher comprises a drive shaftrotatably securable in a bearing cartridge assembly, the drive shaft having a tapered upper end portionfor forming a taper joint in cooperation with the tapered central openingof a flywheel, a top opening key receptorformed on the top surfaceof the flywheel for receiving a locking key, whereby tightening of fastenerssecures locking keyin key receptor, presses flywheelonto drive shaft, thereby fortifying the taper joint between the flywheeland drive shaft, and locking drive shaft, flywheeland locking keyin rotational alignment.
