Abstract
A hot water generator which has a high ability to prevent the hot water temperature from rising above a preset temperature when withdrawal of hot water is stopped. A hot water withdrawal pipeof a heat exchangerand a cold water intake pipethereof are connected through a circulating pipehaving a circulating pump. A cold water reservoiris provided in the heat exchangeron its cold water intake pipeside. When withdrawal of hot water is stopped, the circulating pumpforces hot water in the heat exchangerto circulate through the cold water reservoir, cold water intake pipe, circulating pipeand hot water withdrawal pipeback to the heat exchangeror the circulating pumpforces hot water in the heat exchangerto circulate through the hot water withdrawal pipe, circulating pipe, cold water intake pipeand cold water reservoirback to the heat exchanger. The temperature of circulating hot water is lowered by the cold water reservoirso that the ability to prevent the hot water temperature from rising above a preset temperature is enhanced.
