Abstract
In a fuel cell that includes an electrolyte (), and an anode () and a cathode () which constitute a pair of electrodes that are arranged sandwiching the electrolyte (), the cathode () includes catalyst particles () and trapping particles (). The catalyst particles () operate as catalysts for a reaction that creates hydroxide ions from oxygen, and the trapping particles () trap hydrogen peroxide ions.
