Abstract

An operation management systemalleviates the burden on an administratorwho carries out reappearance monitoring of a failure that occurred in a computer system. The operation management systemdetects one or more detected events occurring in the computer system, and selects a first causal laws codeincluded in a causal laws informationbased on the causal laws informationand the detected event. The operation management system, in a case where the composition of the computer systemhas been changed to eliminate the cause of generation of the detected event, selects a second causal laws codeincluded in a post-change causal laws informationbased on the post-change causal laws informationand the first causal laws code, and notifies the administratorof information related to the selected second causal laws code
