Abstract

A stripper device for can drawing and ironing apparatus can remove a drawn and ironed can material from a punch without causing buckling (curl and wrinkle) on the material. Each finger () is split into three small fingers (), and an axial end of each small finger () is engaged with the lower part of a rocking arm () with an elastic member () in between. A head portion () of each rocking arm () is engaged with a cam portion () of a cam ring () to allow the finger () to be driven independently each other. Each rocking arm () is biased by an arm spring () in the direction of opening the small finger (), while the small finger () is biased by a finger spring () in the direction of its closure.
