Abstract

An optical disc device prevents a rail guide from falling off from a bottom case when a housing receives an impact force. The bottom caseincludes a bottom plate, a side plateand a second bottom plate. The rail guidehas a bottom surface, a side surfaceand an upper surface. The side surfaceof the rail guide is engaged with the side plateof the bottom case. The rail guide has a convex portionthat is located on the side surfaceof the rail guide, the convex portion extending from the upper surface of the rail guide and being in contact with the second bottom plateof the bottom case. The convex portionprevents the rail guidefrom falling off from the bottom casewhen the bottom caseis deformed.
