Abstract
Systems, methods, and computer program products are provided for controlling calls and monitoring resource status for turret systems. A SIP message including at least one of a header field and an event package is received from a SIP user agent over a communication network. The header field includes a first parameter corresponding to a first call feature and the event package includes a second parameter corresponding to a second call feature. At least one of the first call feature and the second call feature is implemented by the softswitch or a SIP-enabled turret in response to the receiving.
