Abstract
An airway tube holder () has a face plate assembly to fix an airway tube (). The assembly comprises a face plate () for placement over the mouth of a patient. The face plate () has a channel () including an open end () and a closed end () in which the tube () is fixedly positioned. A tube holding block () is integrally mounted to the face plate (). The block () has a securing means () mounted in the tube holding block (). A clamp () is secured to a screw () of the securing means by a loop () encircling the screw (). A folded strip () is attached to the end of a headband () so secure the holder to a patient, and forms hooked portions facing in opposite directions. The block () is flexible enough to absorb an over-tightening of the screw ().
