Abstract
A method for manufacturing a sensor device () comprising a thermal sensor (), a battery (), an antenna (), an electronic circuitry () and a solar cell () together integrally in one semiconductor carrier (), the method comprising the steps of:—providing a silicon wafer () with two main surfaces (); a first functional layer () is manufactured in one main surface (), comprising a thermal sensor portion () and comprising electronic circuitry () arranged in a non-overlapping relationship with the thermal sensor portion; a second functional layer () containing a battery () and an antenna () is arranged in a non-overlapping relationship with the thermal sensor portion; a third functional layer () containing one or more solar cells () is arranged in a non-overlapping relationship with the thermal sensor portion; the portion of the wafer underneath the thermal sensor portion () is removed.
