Abstract
The present invention relates to a sprocket () with a circular gear ring () comprising a plurality of alternating teeth () and tooth spaces () with different pitch spacings (T) distributed around the periphery of the gear ring (), a plurality of successive pitch spacings (T) increasing continuously over a first region of the gear ring (), and a plurality of successive pitch spacings (T) decreasing continuously in a subsequent region. The invention additionally relates to a chain drive (), in particular a timing chain drive, comprising a driving chain () and at least one sprocket () of the type in question.
