Abstract
A display apparatus according to the present invention comprises a plurality of pixel sectionsand performs an image display operation and an image reading operation. The plurality of pixel sectionseach include a light output sectionfor outputting first light, and a light receiving sectionfor receiving reflected light obtained as a result of an imaging subject being irradiated with the first light. The apparatus further comprises a directivity adjusting section for adjusting a directivity of the first light. The plurality of pixel sectionsare divided into a plurality of groups. The light output sectionoutputs the first light and the light receiving sectionreceives the reflected light on a group-by-group basis.
