Abstract
Polymers are disclosed that include a structure having the formula wherein, Ris independently selected from a Cn-alkylene group, a Cbranched alkylene group, a Ccycloalkylene group, a Calkylcycloalkylene group, —[(—CH—)—X—]—(—CH—)—, or —[(—CH—)—X—]—(—CH—)—, wherein at least one —CH— unit is substituted with a methyl group, wherein p is an integer having a value ranging from 2 to 6, q is an integer having a value ranging from 1 to 5, r is an integer having a value ranging from 2 to 10, and X is selected from O, S, and —NR—, wherein R is hydrogen or methyl; Rdenotes a structure derived from allyl (meth)acrylate or a multi-functional (meth)acrylate; Ris independently selected from hydrogen and an alkyl group; n is an integer having a value ranging from 1 to 60; and m is a rational number having a value ranging from 0 to 10. Also disclosed are curable compositions containing such polymers, methods for making such polymers, and methods of coating and/or sealing substrates with such compositions.
