Di-/trisubstituted furans of the formula (I) and their use as odorants wherein Ris hydrogen or methyl; Ris ethyl, propyl or isopropyl; the bond between C-3 and C-4 is a single bond, or the dotted line together with the bond between C-3 and C-4 represents a double bond; and the bond between C-4' and C-5′ is a single bond, or the dotted line together with the bond between C-4′ and C-5′ represents a double bond, either in (E)- or (Z)-configuration. The invention furthermore relates to a method of their production and to perfume compositions comprising them.
