Abstract
Water-based metalworking fluid contains: (A) alkanolamine represented by the following formula (1) and/or (B) alkanolamine represented by the following formula (2); and (C) 2-pyridylthio-1-oxide salt. In the formula (1): each Rrepresents hydrogen or an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms; n represents 2 or 3; and plural Rmay be mutually the same or different on condition that not all Rrepresent hydrogen. In the formula (2): Rrepresents an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms; and Zand Zeach represent an alkylene group having 2 to 8 carbon atoms.
