Abstract

A stapleris provided with a driverprovided at a forward end of the driver arm, as shown in FIG.A, driving a stapleout according to any predetermined clinching force, the driverhaving projectionswhich contact portions of the stapleover the legs of the staple pushed against the front inner wall of the magazineby a staple-pushing member. Accordingly, the clinching force is transferred to the legs through the projectionsof the driverso that the clinching force can be concentrated onto the legs. Furthermore, a staple-pushing memberpushes the staple, so that it is possible to prevent buckling from occurring in the legs.
