Storage devices form e.g. high shelf, flow shelf storage etc. Furthermore, data input and output devices () are provided at workstations () and connected communicatively with a storage, control and monitoring device (). The conveying devices () of the incoming goods area () and the order picking area () are in the form of continuous conveying devices (), which are connected via transfer conveying means () to one another and to storage and retrieval means (). At the conveying devices () with the storage, control and monitoring device () communicatively connected detecting means () are arranged e.g. data scanners () for the detection of container data of the storage and transport containers ().
