Abstract
A peelable pouch () comprises: a first layer (), a second layer (), a compartment () for housing the product (), the compartment () being formed between the first and second layers () by peelably sealing the first and second layers () along a compartment sealing portion (), which extends along the proximal portion () and along at least a part of the two lateral portions () of the first and second layers () as well as along first () and second branch portions (), a first tear promoting means () provided on the first layer () only, a second tear promoting means () provided on the second layer () only, and a third tear promoting means () provided on both the first and second layers () and extending in a direction towards the location () where the first and second branch portions () meet.
