Abstract
An liquid developer includes insulating liquid and toner particles dispersed in the insulating liquid. An average particle diameter of the toner particles based on volume is in the range of 0.7 to 3 μm, a width S of particle size distribution of the toner particles represented by the following formula (I) is 1.4 or less, and the insulating liquid include the unsaturated fatty acid glyceride:(90)−(10)]/(50)  (I),where D(X) represents the particle diameter at the point of X % in which X is the ratio of accumulated volume to the total volume when the volume is accumulated from the small particle diameter in the particle size distribution of the toner particles.
