The invention proposes a lever-type cam follower () made without chip removal out of a sheet steel for use in a valve train of an internal combustion engine for actuating at least one gas exchange valve. This lever-type cam follower () is characterized by being made of a cold-forming, core-hardening heat-treatable steel.
