Abstract
A vent scraping apparatus () includes a mount () fixably attached a carbonizing machine () at an opening () in the carbonizing machine. A duct () is fixably attached within the mount (). The duct () conducts gas vented from the carbonizing machine. A scraper () is movably attached between the mount () and the duct (). The scraper () slides between an inner surface () of the mount () and an outer surface () of the duct (). The scraper () includes a leading edge () for scraping an inner surface () of the carbonizing machine opening () as the scraper is extended.
