Abstract
An osmotic pump comprises a first chamber () comprising an osmotically active substance (), a second chamber () arranged to be filled with a solvent (), and a semi-permeable barrier () separating the first chamber () from the second chamber (). The semi-permeable barrier () is impermeable to the osmotic active substance and permeable to the solvent (). The osmotic pump further comprises a pressure device () in fluid communication with the second chamber (), wherein the pressure device () is arranged for pressurizing the solvent in the second chamber.
