Abstract
A vehicle control device has a control devicemounted on a vehicle including an accelerator opening detecting sensor, a vehicle speed sensor, and braking meanscapable of adjusting deceleration of the vehicle. The control device stores a plurality of deceleration tablesin which the deceleration is set according to a predetermined parameter. If the detected vehicle speed is equal to or less than a preset vehicle speed Vand the detected accelerator opening is equal to or less than a preset accelerator opening when a target deceleration is selected by the deceleration selecting meansand, the selection of the deceleration is validated, a deceleration tablecorresponding to the deceleration selected by the deceleration selecting means is read, and the braking means is actuated on the basis of braking parameters specified in the table, thereby executing deceleration control to provide the selected deceleration.
